Am I wrong to feel no compassion for these 2 guys?

It's one of those things that I thought would spark a debate in here

My feelings are that parents should take more responsibility for thier kids' actions But in the "Deprived" areas that would be a fine line to walk between people having a life and living within a police state. Not that they have much of a life now as I have observed in years gone by

I don't know who these young fellas were, but I was amazed at myself that I didn;t feel anything at all compassionate
Me, who believes "that all life is precious and is a gift to be used as best you can"

I'm not glad but I'm not sad either!

Dont feel glad they are dead, no I dont feel compassion.

I'm not glad but I'm not sad either!

about sums up my feelings...

also on the deprived upbringing issue?

do we know these guys had a deprived upbringing?
perhaps they just needed a lift home?

are all people who steal cars from a deprived or broken family? .....and vice verca...
do all people from a deprived or broken family steal cars?

not glad but not overly sad either:nenau

What you say about a burglar claiming from a company he was burgling when he hurt himself is of course a shameful farce and a sad indictment on our legal and compensation system...
...and almost certainly never happened.

Most certainly did Sir - I refer the honourable tosser to the Lincolnshire Echo...article was printed within last 4/5 weeks. Company itself is in North Hykeham. I'd search the archives but I've got to catch-up with Eastenders :D

No, you misunderstand. I don't doubt for a minute that you read it in the paper, but it has the sound of a story partly based on fact, but mostly just made up.

Regardless of their actions it is a tragedy that two young guys have died leaving behind grieving relatives and not having lived a full life. So yes, I feel compassion for them...

wifey and 4 kids!! Dave if these 2 ****ers had of hit our car what would you feel ! got the best lucifer could dish out to the ****ers !

gassing is too good for scum like them :ronno

:reaper

I'm with David Gibson on this - nobody deserves to die like that not even "thieving scum".
Those guys are - to some degree - likely to be victims of the context that is their upbringing.
If my parents had been different I could have been a bit of a bo**ox; my parents reared me well and made a complete bo**ox of me. :augie

But maybe if they had done things differently.....

Am not taking the pee BTW... But you have to think...

Or a bad egg is a bad egg, no matter how hard the parents try???

It doesn't matter whether they 'could' have done better bringing them up the loss of a child is something that any parent shouldn't have to face.

For the record I also didn't say that they deserved to die..........

It's just good luck that no innocent 3rd party got killed in this case and obviously that would have been an even worse tragedy. Doesn't make the joyrider's situation any less tragic in my book but makes the whole situation much much worse. If my wife and kids had been killed by these guys I reckon my emotions would be different and I'm aware of that ...

you are a bollox Gerry, there's no doubting that. :P

i wonder how you would feel if one of the said 2 was a brother, son, family of yours with no previouse! known maybe generaly as a good kid!

Do you then say well one deserved it and one did not? how can you judge people you dont know diddly squat about?

you cant say what if they would have hit and killed a third party because they did not.

stick with the facts which you dont seem to know.

feck me if my granny would have had balls she'd have been my grandad jees louise get a grip men, lifes to short!

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of these lads, thankfully nobody else was hurt this time. 2 mothers will bury sons destroying families for quite some time. Rightly or wrongly no parent should have to do this, its the knock on the door you never want to get.

+1

nice bike you ride by the way:augie

If I work hard and save my money to buy a bike, spend even more maintaining it then what gives some wee bastard the right to come and steal it from me?

These feckers won't work for anything, have respect for nothing nor no-one and think that they can just roll up and help themselves to my/our stuff? So, why should I feel any sympathy for them if they get killed in the process?

Feck them and all the pc do-gooders who try to make excuses for them.

100% with you Aidan :thumb2

Cant see the problem here. Two lads played with fire, got burned ,big deal.
Lucky no innocent people involved.
