Over yesterday's 250 mile ride, the IN AIR temperature reading was consistently two degrees warmer than the temperature display on my Scottoiler. I assume that the Scottoiler's sensor is somewhere inside its control unit which on my bike sits by the front brake reservoir, directly in the wind blast as I hoon the awesome steed.
8 degrees according to the Scottoiler, 10 degrees according to the bike's display, 12 degrees according to the Met man, with his seaweed and fir cones; that's a 50% spread. Outrageous.
