I've been getting my K75C ready for the colder weather and wanted to fit some hand guards on the cheap and was asked the morning what solution I'd come up with.
I had an old pair of standard KTM guards kicking around which looked like this (although this is not my photo).
It should be quite simple but the k75 bars are stupidly narrow so although you can use a traditional fixing in the bar end, attaching the inboard side requires a bit more imagination.
I have loads of bits kicking around so used some similar to these fixings.
Then it's just a matter of getting them on the bars, and there's virtually no room for adjustment, cutting the end off the plastic KTM guard and drilling a hole. Simple
The end result isn't the prettiest but it's very stable and does an excellent job at keeping the wind off your pinkies, I may tidy them up further sometime.
I don't particuarly like the angle for looks but hey, this is a K75
Because .....
I found some decent heated grips in the garage but importantly, transformed the headlight by fitting an Osram bulb running through two relays I tried it last night and the results are brilliant all for less than £15
Next is to sort the dismal stop/tail light.
There's plenty of room in there to fix two, three wire enduro led units which can be shaped and fixed inside the light unit.
