Had a trip up north at the weekend weather was ideal :D Called in on our friends who live on Skye and they rode up to Crask with us on friday. Spent the night at The Crask Inn then headed back down to Skye for a couple of days. Too much boozing on saturday night meant that we didn't manage to turn a wheel on sunday contrary to the grand plan of lunching at The Applecross Inn :(

was it you riding past loch garry on saturday afternoon about 2ish?

Crask Inn - if I'm not mistaken............ is the unofficial title holder in the "coldest recorded temperature in the UK". (-35C deg?)

Good pic of the bike in a "sorry state".......... any of you in a similar state? :nenau

Oh - you're barking mad, by the way............ :rob

Al :D

A couple of years ago Sandra and I were heading to Scotland on a very cold November evening, via the Autocom I was giving her the usual "oh don't worry about the cold it's character building" when she announced that she was never heading north in winter again. As you can imagine this was not what I was hoping to hear as I do enjoy a little winter jaunt so I had no choice but to 'invest' in a heated jacket which I gave her for her birthday (that didn't go down too well to be honest :D well not until she tried it out anyway). Since the heated jacket this is the first ride that she has complained about the cold so I think some heated gloves may be next on the list....

We were round about there at that time but we were on the Invermoriston to Kyle road which is one road to the North. I was riding with a blue Triumph Sprint ST which was one up and I was obvoiusly two up.
