Anakee 2 tyres

Hi All
Shortly I am due to change tyres on my GSA 1200, currently have Battlewings fitted.
Anyone had any experiance or has used Michelin Anakee Tyres, if so what are your opinons?

i got annakee2's on me 1150 and they do give confidence especially in the wet!
you have to ensure that the pressures are correct as they can ride the ripples but you do get used to that!!

I had original Anakees on and got a multiple puncture in the wilds of Romania and rode about 30km on a dirt road on a flat, with smoke coming off it and got it stringed at a tyre shop and did 2000 further miles on it.

Anakees are brilliant. Just renewed mine. Very good feel in the wet and forgiving. I recommend them. Just squeezed 10K out of my rear, mostly loaded up miles. Sides even look like my old R1`s rubber. Monkeys nuts.

I've got Anakee 2's on my 1200gsa and I love them, complete confidence and loads of grip in the wet or dry

Funny, I never rated Anakees, always preferred Tourances or Contis, but the GSA I just bought had new Anakee 2's fitted and they're amazing. Really confidence inspring.
Haven't tried them in the wet yet, but will let you know in October when it rains again

Another vote for them, After loads of sets of Tourance I was abit iffy about putting them on but I now prefere them, Superb in the wet but as said keep the pressures right.

Yah I will be putting on my 3rd set of Anakees soon and wouldnt look any further
................for me, its a no brainer.......great in wet, good feel, just have the pressure correct.Happy times ahead

Bike came with anakee 2, tried tourance exp, went back to anakee 2. Nuffield said!

I think there is an overall opinion which leads me to be fitting Anakee 2's on my next tyre replacement.

I like them......

when i got my first GS it had Anakee tyres on and i couldn't believe how good they where. But as i met more tossers there seemed to be a tourance are best type stance. Anyhoo stuck with anakee then anakee 2, love them in the wet and not bad in the bends.

Nice to hear others with more experience of other tyres rate them

I finally changed to Anakee 2, which where fitted Saturday 9th April. I paid £230.14, for Ride in Ride Out.
Now the dissapointing bit.
Dealer managed to mark the front wheel rim, a mark in two places like centre punch marks. It's apparent that this was caused by some device which clamps the wheel during removal/fitting of the tyre.
The front wheel has been loaded with 37.5 gram weights, and the bike tyres had been inflated to 26bar front, 30bar rear.
The company who supplied and fitted these are a well known reputable establishment, and I would not have expected these problems.

Does anyone know if Anakee 2 tyres are to be fitted in a particular way to compensate for the valve and run flat sensor?

I know that with Bridgestone Battlewings, there is a coloured spot on the tyre showing where it should be fitted in relation to the valve ?.
