Against all the rules of buying I roll up a few days later with the van after no phone call, fairly sketchy info and certainly open eyed see this... It ran, a bit roughly, has a 1100 front guard but all the right bits by a previous owner, a knackered back tyre but now sub £1k price...
So a week of service this check that find the usual rough well used under panel condition and a few surprises... More than 5 litres of oil came out with a gurgle...
No wonder it has a slight weep! All three changed, new RH stick coil to match the LH and a bit of wire brush and rattle can to make me feel better...
Today the big day! No test ride, square tyre but what the hell let's commute!
A revelation... Smooth engine, good torque, floaty suspension and a strange wide but oh so effective screen... Brakes de sevoed and as good as my old LCRT, even the grips work .. New tyre today and all is well...
A total chance your arm buy that has cost me approx £1100 Inc bits and an 04 twin spark to use and not look at... I even got full luggage, books spare keys extra bits and pieces, yet another Haynes ..
