So our plan was to head to Ockfen on Thursday, to continue playing in the Black ....we had already booked our digs @ Weinhotel Restaurant Klostermuhle (which turned out to be awesome & highly recommend).

So....Thursday afternoon (on the way to Ockfen) saw us have a nice sandwich @ The Rathaus bakery...

...a couple of pics en route....

And our digs for the evening.....

A well equipped bathroom was handy...

The beer was particularly lovely....

And the food was excellent...

....and a delightful terrace created the perfect ambience for an evening libation.

Brekkie on the Friday was good....

Made all the more special with a ‘special note’.....

So....we set off Friday to leave Germany & head back to France.....rude not to have a river picture or two.....

So....welcome to France....

...and welcome to Luxembourg....

...umm, welcome to Belgium....

....4 countries in only a morning....

.....historic town archway to Mouzon...

And now it’s getting close to lunch, so we happen to find this place....

The pair of us both had pork filet, salad & delicious frites with 2 coke zeros for the princely sum of €21...in total!!!! BARGAIN

Turns out the restaurant is part of the Ardwen Brewery

....and saw this relic in the car park....

....and as it was getting a bit hot, it was time to move on (btw.....my heating wasn’t on)

So....after having a delicious meal @ Ardwen Brewery Restaurant, we head for our Château in Maissemy.

Found a couple of nice memorials & a church in Holnon, and actually had a chat with the mayor about an upcoming remembrance event (no pic of the mayor, he was camera shy ).

JC met us on the way into our Château grounds...

And out Château welcomed us....

The view from our balcony was lovely...

And the bathroom was well appointed...

The food and drink at the chateau was amazing.....

....after a refreshing shower & beer, we asked our host (who only spoke French) about the dinner arrangements; long & short of it, the restaurant wasn’t open (as there wasn’t an actual restaurant ).

Not to be outdone, we befriended an English family who offered to drive to a local pizza place to get grub.....great, problem solved....or so we thought, as the pizza place wasn’t there!!!!

Plan C.......BK @ the double!!!

So we ate our grand dinner on the terrace and drank.....

After brekkie on Saturday morning, we had a ponse around the grounds and discovered this place had so much potential.....
