Shame as it looks ideal, is it possible to change what spec it needs ?

The web site redesign sounds good as it is really unusable on my device but your app looks ideal.

Found this tonight and had a look at Android Market but could not find it. Where do I look, I am new to this as I only got my HTC Desire 2 weeks ago.

Google informed me a while back that handsets that do not meet the specifications for the app will not be shown the app, however this should be limited to the following:

android.hardware.location
android.hardware.location.gps
android.hardware.touchscreen

This is very strange for a HTC Desire 2 as my HTC Desire (first version) can find the app fine in the store, so I'll need to ask google about it.

Can you just verify that the link on this page:

to the app directly from the device also does not find the app in the android market please?

• Info screen now allows for a preference choice between miles and kilometres for all units.
• Each route now contains a web link to the web version of the route, allowing the following:
• GPX format files of each route can be downloaded directly
• Access to over 2300 route photos of motorcycle routes, added by the community.
• Share your routes with biker friends who have different devices.
• On Bike Film Footage of the route (where available) Incorrect routes can be deleted

But could be an excellent App if improvements are made.

I purchased the App yesterday, downloaded via home network and initially no problems, radar / satellite icon thingy flashed for 20 seconds or so then it acquired satellites and achieved a position / fix - Excellent.
However after playing and exploring with the App I had the same problems as Larne and Marki_GSA. It's like too much info overload, doesn't know where it is, constantly hunting / searching for a signal and the radar / satellite icon thingy constantly flashing.

When I bought the App yesterday, I had a quick browse, exited the App and shut down my phone and reboot. Incidentally my phone is a HTC Desire HD.

This morning I've browsed the App again without any probs, the acquisition was pretty quick.
Great App but there is room for improvement and reliability / acquisition issues, hopefully yesterday was a one off for me.

Mark2jag (below quote) has suggested some good ideas for improvement.

Would I recommend the BBR App....... Yes.

Does this app guide you gently onto these great biking roads and navigate you along them.. Not got my android anywhere i can see it but a voice instruction to turn left in 400 meters past the water tower, etc etc etc would be most useful!!! If it had that id buy it immediately!!!!!

Just a note to say that the problems I was experiencing along with others has now been fixed. The app is now fully funtional on my phone

Purchased! Been waiting for this on Android for ages. Didn't realise it was someone of this parish. Now if Memory Map would just pull their finger out too and do the android version of their program.......

There's MM Track on the Android Market - allows you to use Memory Map maps/routes etc. Developer very helpful, I suggested a few changes and all have been implemented in future releases. Unlike MemoryMap who seem to be dragging their feet ever so slowly releasing their android app!!
