My problem is that once I retire from work I won’t have access to machine tools.

Perhaps I could join a local “men’s shed” group or a model engineering club in retirement ?

Maybe I should send you my spare FD and you can practice making pullers and press blanks, Just to keep your hand in LOL

I will ask my local Dealer if they have any scrap FDs what ratio is yours ?

Mines a 2019 1250GSA, no idea what gear ratio they chose for them I just ride the thing.

I'm an old school fitter and turner so can knock up most of what I need manually on an old lathe or mill.

The kids in the big machine shop have a few bloody great Maziak multi axis machines at their fingertips.
They can make pretty much anything with a bit of code writing, they are very specialist.
