Has anyone had issues with with the rear paralever bearings that connect the swingarm to the final drive? I see that some of the aircooled models had problems but cant find much about lc failures. My last 2015 GS had them fail at 8k miles and now my 2017 is back to BMW to have them repaired at 6k miles with play in the rear wheel being the symtom. Just unlucky or is there known issue with some way to prevent this happening again? The bike is rarely used in the wet and not offroad, dont carry a pillion either.

More common than you think, mine were worn at 13,000 miles and it is an issue that dealers are well aware of and reckon that they start to deteriorate at 10,000 ish.

It will not be the roller bearing instead it will be play in the needle roller bearing which will have been installed with almost zero grease at the factory
