The RH one tends to rattle more because the left hand one has the TPS to damp it, but when the wear gets really bad both sides rattle. In fact the LH one on my 850 is worse than the RH.
The rattling is much worse if there's always tension in the throttle cables - leave half a mm of slack (which you should have anyway) and it's much better.
+1 on that, I took the throttle quadrant off and cleaned then packed with grease behind it, well it cant do any harm
