Anyone up for another post-Christmas escape the in-laws rideout this year?

Looking at my calendar it seems like Saturday December 30th would be the perfect day because it allows those poor souls who have to work between Christmas and New Year to join. Another option is to have the rideout on Wednesday 27th or Thursday 28th but reserving the 30th as a plan-B in case the weather is bad on the first date.

Usual format - riders from midlands, Wales and west of England meet up around 10:00am for bacon sandwiches at Abergavenny bus station followed by a ride at 10:30am around the hills, lunch at Llandovery cafe, and further riding in the afternoon for those who don't wuss out and go home after lunch :D

I'll also put a heads up in the West and Midlands forums but direct discussion here.

Work. Work. Work. Did I mention work?

Still using the GS a lot though, bike is 4 years old at the end of this month and the mileage is 53K so at least I'm getting out of work a little bit...

Do pop in for a cuppa if you are passing. You know where I live.

I'd be up for it as well.

Any green lanes/off-road planned as part of the ride? :bounce1

If you plan them, yes.

In previous years we have split up into two groups (could be more if we wanted to) and gone off on different routes before reconvening for lunch. No reason why one of those routes couldn't involve a bit/lot of off-road.

If you can find someone to plan a route and someone to lead it then go for it.

Hiya Mike long time no see/hear. Hope you're well.

I'm up for any date but will hopefully be in the rideout group that has the working drop-off system. 20+ riders set out and only 7 die hard riders finishing the whole course through ice and snow!
2nd thoughts maybe I'll just stay in the bus station with a hot cuppa and bacon roll and talk to all the other wimpy bikers :D

I'll be up for it also, as long as i'm not in zummerset visiting the outlaws.(it will be their turn, in the barrel) Dito about the drop off system, too many people said they knew how it worked, but blatantly didn't. I even made a point of asking. If you weren't told anything ewe wouldn't know your name would ewe???:nenau :nenau

Im interested as last year was good apart from the confusion over the drop-off system which just didn't work!

Not interested in any off-road though!
