I am fitting Hella DE's to my 1200gs and I just want to connect them to the dipped beam with switch, relay etc. I haven't got a wiring diagram, and I can't start the bike to test for the correct wire as my exhaust is away being polished.
Specifics required please:-
1. What is the best place to pick up the dipped beam supply?
2. What colour is it?
Thanks for any info :nenau

If you are having them switched and feed wire from the Dip beam, why not use the side light as the feed then they will work any time you want, with or with out the engine on :thumb2

Thanks Les
My thinking is that when you turn on the ignition, the lights don't get a supply until the engine starts and therefore less pull on the battery at start up. This may be overkill but whilst I have the bike in bits it may be the best way.
Any more input would be appreciated.

But when you forget to switch the lights of and start then the battery gets hammerd, as the Canbus send more power to the battery at start up.
Also if the bulb goes it's there as back up.
