Probably in the office. Again.
Well, I took the 1150 moneypit up to BTBR a couple of weekends ago to get the lights sorted. In other words, I'd got sick of the stock candles and wanted some proper lighting.

Rolled up a bit early - not a problem. In less time than it took to get my lid off there was a cup of coffee in my mitt and BTBR was hard at work with a hairdryer! Apparently, this was to stop the fusebox retaining flanges breaking when he took it off the bike.

Another cup of coffee appears, courtesy of the fine Mrs BTBR.

After a couple of hours and a wander into Redditch to get a couple of doughnuts to help proceedings along, it's finished.

My god - talk about attention to detail! The only way I can work out what's stock wiring and what's BTBR's is by looking for the sloppy workmanship - that'll be the factory stuff then.

More coffee.

I eventually ride home, and wait for nightfall. K-E-R-I-S-T are those lights bright - and that's just on dipped. Full beam brings on confused birds starting the dawn chorus and sets off car alarms.

As a professional, time-served cackhand, I envy Alan his ability with bits of wire, relays and the black electrical arts. If you're thinking about getting your lights sorted - Redditch is the place.

:bow Thanks MMC but I fear that the end is nigh!

By lunchtime tomorrow (Sunday) I will have done 3 bikes this weekend, by next weekend I would have done around 50 bikes this year alone!!!!

Compound this with todays nightmare job from hell............long story. :spitfire But lets put it this way, if this would have been the first bike that I ever did, there would not have been 49 others!!!

This means that I am now seriously thinking about hanging up my crimping pliers for a while and have a break and enjoy some weekend back again.

Then I will decide if I am going to carry on or not.

Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed it while it lasted, but enough is enough.

After todays little episode, I don't think that I have the word 'STUPID' written on my forehead do I?
I (did) enjoy doing lights but WTF should I repair other peoples f*ck ups, for jack shit..........................

No drama for me if you take a break I'm in no rush. If you start again I can fit in with you as in, leave the bike with you and use another till sorted there is definatley no rush or timescale as far as I'm concerned, and to the best of my knowledge there is nothing to repair. (I Hope)

My lips are sealed out of respect to the current owner, who, to be fair, was not aware of the complete feckin bodge that someone had done in order to sell the bike.

To make matters worse, the previous owner :tosser is a UKGSer member and a regular poster at that.

Sorry, but IMHO it was nothing short of feckin' disgusting, and yes "said" first owner knew that he had bodged it as well, make no mistakes about that :spitfire :mcgun

I shall say no more and the subject is now closed.
