On the to do list once it’s made it that far is a speedo, maybe front mudguard and possibly a key operated ignition switch as opposed to the toggle switch. Work in progress.
Don’t need one at all for the MOT.
I saw a bike the other day running a £25 cycle gps which technically isn’t legal as gps won’t work everywhere, but good enough to know how fast your going 99% of the time.
You don't need a speedo for the MOT. You might need a speedo for your insurance. I'm no legal Beagle, but check the road vehicle regulations or whatever they are called. To be fair, I rode a bike around for 3 or 4 years without one before shifting insurers, who got a bit shirty. Just trying to help.
Temporary speedo fitted and works a treat - £28. Only on rubber bands so will be moved to centre later. Today was just quick test of that and rear brake.
It only went and passed!
With new top speed achieved before realising I still had one gear left as I fast approached the tight bend and had to slow down. Felt like about 120 though haha
