Another cracking run...

The party with whom I stayed have been there for 3 weeks and had over a hundred fish to 9 lbs... They seem pretty happy! The river has been in the doldrums for the last 3 or 4 years but appears to be picking up. Those they did catch didn't have too many sealice so another good sign. Nothing to do with the salmon cages going from Loch Eriboll of course.....

I'll be going back to S.Uist in October if I'm spared.

The lice numbers are down on many of the west coast spate rivers, I fish 4 locally and since the grilse run began in earnest about 2nd week in July I ahve yet to catch a fish with a louse on it. So maybe the farms are getting their act cleaned up, time will tell.
