Another failure

I can’t sort this one out, anyone else had the problem?

I’ve only recently replaced it, so it’s fairly new, but it’s started to fail again. Turning it through 90 degrees doesn’t seem to do anything, and I’ve even tried blowing through it. I can’t see any signs of corrosion, and everything lines up.
I’m going to try swapping it for the one on the LHS and see what happens.

Any ideas, cos it’s got me confused?

Ah, that's where you made your mistake. Maybe you should have put it on upside down, not turned it through 90 deg.

Don't whatever you do try a LHS one.

But then, I've not the slightest idea what you're on about.

Is it male or female?

Males are usually blue, females pink.

Males are better straight up but females are often found horizontal and so turning yours through ninety degrees might prove a little advanced depending on the age.

I don't see how swapping from one side to the other would help, but if that's what floats your boat.....

What about a used one? Could be cheaper.

The main problem is, that you're not supposed to turn it further than 86 degrees. If you do (and you have) then it's proper fecked.

The 2 little arrows on the back need to be lined up

If you get them slightly out the grommet will kink and eventually it will fail

a smear of oil of ulay is really helpfull

The down draft biflicator and the fufu valve should be connected with a giggling pin or it's never going to work!!!

But seriously I think we've scared him off.....

I thought it was a problem with his cammets. If he has a 1200 then they're hype wangled cammets and need careful handling. Too much rotation will cause them to vibrate and that could damage the interlocking dreel sprale.
