Yes, I ordered the Akra Ti, so I'll start with the baffle in, but that dip in the torque curve with it in isn't pretty - could you feel the difference when riding it?

I only ride about 4k per year and im by no means an aggressive rider so youll have to take my comments with that in mind. I didnt notice a difference between 3-4k with the baffle in or out but then again the bike has more power than I need 99% of the time. I just felt that with it out it was a touch too loud for my tastes. I think the bike revs much quicker with the akra and the headers and can are a big weight savings. Obviously on a cost per HP basis its not worth the money but if you experience one youll change your mind.

Remus?

I have been thinking of getting the Remus full system. Does anyone know anything or have any recomendations about them? Best place to buy etc. I know it's not unobtainium but I cannot justify the acro price however nice they are.

Just an update; I've got the Carbon Fibre Handguards (Ilmberger) but cannot get mounting brackets (pre facelift GS12) so i'm getting some custom made at PDQ.While it's there, the Bike will be getting as many of the OE Torx Bolts replaced with Titanium Cap Heads. The main part of the Winter Blingfest was to have been Dymag Carbon Fibre Wheels but i've had to redirect some cash to pay Emirates Airlines for a ticket to Australia for a Long Weekend in April. Yes,a Long Weekend !! Out from Brum on 14/4,into Oz late on 15/4. Leave Oz 19/4,into Brum 20/4,back to work on the 21st.

Got word from Pidcocks that the Starting Problem is due to a Fecked Battery.
New one ordered (Warranty job),it'll be there in the Morning so i can collect the Beast after Dinner. Cheers Guys :thumb2 .

Picked the Bike up from Pidcock's on Friday. New Battery fitted under Warranty with no questions. Got out on it Today and it's just like Old Times. Everything working as was. Got a good 90 miles in. Good to have decent Weather and no Salt over the Tarmac. Everything OK with the Raptor Pegs but i never anticipated problems as they'd been Made To Measure. :D

Hoping to get mine out tomorrow for a few miles, first time since winter :)

Five months after the accident and she's back, and how!!

Loads of upgrades, Racetech suspension, carbon rear hugger, Renazco seat, heavier Ohlins spring, RT final drive, and new sag & suspension settings.

All in all a whole new, and amazing bike! All the upgrades are reviewed over here

Remus make a full system I think...

I was just on their website in Austria, www.remus.at, and they show a full carbon & Ti system for the Enduro, which I think will fit our bikes.

SO,What's been happening during the last 12 Months :eek ???

I had no idea that it had been so long. Last Year was not a good one on a Personal Level. The ZRX got B*llixed and Garaged for the Year in Bits, the KTM 950 SM got a few Outings and the Megamoto,Likewise. The MM went to the TT and the Manx but a Dislodged Knee Cartilage at the TT meant that i could not ride much. The Manx Trip got cut short due to my Mom having a Breakdown,so again, not much Mileage.
I spoke to the Guys from Dynojet at the NEC Show and they were keen to do a Power Commander on a MM and offered me a REALLY nice Deal. So,i loaded the Bike into the Van and Headed for the Lancashire Countryside.
Being the First one that they had seen, the Chip had to be Custom Written. It only took a couple of Hours to sort and the end result was quite nice. The Fuelling was Spot-On (but then it WOULD be) and the Power and Torque figures were up

I'd not used the Bike since the Mods due to Salted Roads,Work and the fact that as the Lambda Sensors are now Redundant,i needed a couple of Blanking Plugs for the Headers and had not got round to Ordering them. Anyhow,i picked them up from Picocks and fitted them and Today, went for a Bimble.

The Mike Hailwood Memorial Run. A Ride Out from the Site of the old Norton Factory in Bracebridge Street, Aston, to the Church in Tanworth in Arden, where Mike had Lived.

HailwoodMemorialRun011.jpg

The Megamoto next to a Little Cousin, outside what was the Norton Factory

It was a nice try-out of the Modifications, all types of Roads were ridden and the Bike Ran Sweetly. Throttle Response sharper and Engine pulls cleanly. Not a BIG leap in Performance ,just better all round. And there is STILL the Backfire on the Over-run !!
Mileage now 6950 (at nearly 3 Years Old !! Must try Harder)

Hi this a print of my MM with a Rapid Bike
108 hp, 124 Nm torc, original exhaust and catalyst

SO,What's been happening during the last 12 Months :eek ???

Good to see that both you & the MM are once more back in fine fettle Dave.

Off to the TT again this year - the Mountain & M.A.S.H. await!

All the best, Jim.
