Is that Big Ugly Fella still in Charge ? :augie
Dave -- Not only of the cafe - but now of Sector 3, all of it, lock, stock, & brushes!!!!

The only hope I have left of salvation is that he might go off on a royal tour of his kingdom & leave us poor souls @ Ballaspur in peace!

All the best, Jim.

Ti & Carbon Megamoto (Now with added CF & Billet)

Infrequent Updates seem to be a recurring theme of this Thread :blush. Anyhow, fresh from another Blingfest, Whaddyareckon ?

Absolutely NO reflection on the Dealership, but the Bike had spent quite a while at Pidcocks,i'd ordered a pair of Renthal Bars which arrived but the Bar end-weights were on Back Order,i'd ordered Titanium Disc Bolts which were sent, but did not fit. The Renthal Bars got fitted but the Handguards were not compatable with the End-weights. Various options were explored but to no avail so the Std Bars went back on.I'd asked about some Bespoke Handguard Mounts but the Parts Department managed to source a set of BMW Items, which i was pleased about. The New Battery that got fitted under Warranty died,so a replacement was fitted.
The Job was finally Finished and i have to Thank Keith and the Pidcocks Service Department for their Efforts (And Patience).

I Took the Bike out Today,a run to the Dirtbike Show at Stoneleigh, and was Blown Away by the Difference. I'm no John McGuiness (am i, Mr Young ? ;)) but i was stunned at the transformation. Left-Right-Left Combinations were much sharper, the Bike Turns-in much easier and more accurately to the extent that ,to start with,i was turning in as previously but the Bike went in quicker, leading me to have to pick-up and drop-in again. Once i had got to grips with things,i had a Blast :D:D.

Mileage now at 7035. I hope to do some more when the Weather allows.

Whaddyareckon ?

Dave -- For some reason the words, "Tart's", and, "Handbag", keep popping into my head..............

The wheels are awesome, the hand-guards look pretty good, but I'm less than enamoured of the billet levers - what's the matter, couldn't you source some titanium ones?

All the best, Jim.

The thing that impressed me most, when I rode one, was the brick-wall brakes. At the time, I didn't think it was much, if any, quicker than my GS with its full Remus system. It was, however, on greasy roads and I was being circumspect with the application of the throttle.

are you seriouse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jim,

1 Yes,you said it first :augie

"Yet another candidate for the "tart's handbag" treatment is joining the stable - I pick up my MM next Wednesday, just in time for two days @ Cadwell.
All the best, Jim."

2 They are

3 They do

4 Probably Bling for Bling's sake and No,i couldn't source the Ti ones :(

5 And Best Wishes,Yourself

I was at the Bike Show, Today. I had been talking to Steve Bellars from BMW UK who had been very helpful when i was trying to get my Ti Akrapovic System and i had kept him updated about the Mods that i'd made.
As i left the BMW Stand,a Bloke approached me and said;
"Sorry for any intrusion, but i heard you talking about your Megamoto. It sounds like you've put a lot of Quality Extras on it. I really want one, would you take £13,750 for it?"

 Err,no,Ta.

"I'd go to £14,000 if it is as clean as you said. Please take my Card and consider my Offer,it is Genuine."

  Jeez,i've never owned ANYTHING that anyone else wanted. But it ain't going nowhere. It's a Keeper :D .

Had a Scoot out on Xmas Eve and got Frozzed  . Better Weather Today gave me the chance for another Hour or so. Handguards proved their worth, keeping most of the chill off my hands :D. That's all, really.

Blimey,16 Months since i posted here !!! SO, i had a surprise at MOT 2012 when i found that the Bike had covered 250 Miles since MOT 2011  . Took it to the TT and had a few more outings and Today i collected the Bike with Fresh MOT and found i'd upped my Mileage by 988 Miles :blast .
I love this Bike,it makes me Laugh with every Ride and it is only that Laughter that stops me putting it up for sale. I keep saying that i must get out more but it takes almost Military Campaign levels of organisation to get out on a Sunday, let alone any extended outings :(.
Still,i've got 12 Days at the TT to have a play so will try and make the most of it :thumby: .

See you there Dave.

I'm across on the Mutley, my MM having its clutch replaced at the moment - will you still speak to me?

All the best, Jim.

Not much of an update but I took the Bike to the TT and had a mixed time. Bike was perfect,Weather was brilliant. Such a shame that Plastic Fantastic Pilots kept binning their bikes on the Mountain causing Road Closures. Went to the Southern 100 and got 2 laps in,spent the rest of the week driving my Host round as he was signed off driving himself (knee op).
Today I collected a Paddock Stand for it (cheers, markh) and dropped the Bike at PDQ for a Brake Upgrade. Sadly, the quality of the "Braking" discs is lacking as they show signs of Rust within days of being cleaned. Nowhere NEAR as robust as the OE Brembo items. Having some "Full Floating" Brembos fitted.
That's all.

Are they titanium?;)

All the best, Jim.

mega moto bracke upgrade

If your spending that type of money on your bicke put some Radial mastercycliners on from HP2 sport they arnt much expensiver than your bracke levers cost around 280 euro complete and klutch is aboute 220 euro complete and just plug and play for the cambus system ;)
