Another mystery trip involving many wheels!

Shipping forecast not brilliant.....not awful either, hopefully not as bad as the last time on this tub! Might need to ca canny on the all you can eat buffet....

I thought it was Glasgow but not sure which station. Either way, it’s more than six minutes since you left Perth.

Then realised I wasn’t on the last page of the thread. :duno

Anyway, watching with interest

So thats us, 1704, out into the North Sea. Just checked the evening shipping forecast....much better, so the all you can eat buffet could take a doing...gor to keep some room for the free breakfast.
Actually, nothing on these boats is anywhere near free, but if we couldn't do it...we wouldn't!

Another very grand station...this time in better nick...probably got a spruce up when they held the G9 meeting here a few years back...

I was there for the G8 conference in @2006.

George Bush was out cycling in the grounds with his security contingent and knocked one of my WPCs over breaking her wrist.
Last I knew she was still receiving Christmas cards from the Bush family years later.

Turn of data roaming after leaving port, use ship board wifi, otherwise you will be in for a nasty shock being charged for Maritime cell coverage, it is very expensive, if your phone does updates overnight, or other data, it is a bit of a shock when you get your next phone bill.

But I'm sure all the seasoned travelers already know.

It won't take too many guesses to know how I know :blast

I knew it was a G something....I remember when the swampy's tried to rush across a field when Chinook appeared from nowhere and disgorged a load of bobbies to repel the smelly fukrs...priceless!

It was actually 2005 and my last Public Order event before I retired.

Ah the Chinook. I got a Health and Safety bollocking from the Chief when I got back to London because non of us had been trained to do that. But what was one to do when offered a lift.

But I digress.

Sorry for the distraction Gerard.

I am in and we are forecast much rain from Tuesday onwards, so it shall be nice to share your trip. (y)

A beautiful crossing!
Serene and calm.
Into a sunny east, where the european fleshpots await. Seemed to me a good...the only?....way of getting into Europe without going through London and Paris. Much as I like the Caledonian Sleeper, Commodore De Luxe is better!
Breakfast calls...
