It arrived yesterday and slotted straight into the BMW SatNav mount on my 1200GSA (I bought the one with the conversion bracket). I fired it up, linked to my phone and then I’ve done about 100 miles today. I plotted routes on MyRoute, Google Maps and Organic Maps and what a pleasure to have a clear, bright 7” screen in front of me!

I haven’t experienced any of the issues that others have had yet - maybe they’ve all been ironed out in the latest firmware releases. Haven’t experimented with my phone yet but for the price I’m well impressed.:clap

The only negative observation I have to date is it takes some juice out of my iPhone. Not sure whether it’s the Carpuride or the maps I was using. I suspect the latter. I’ve never bothered to charge the phone on the bike when I am out but that’s going to have to change.

If you are using MRA navigator, they (MRA) know they have a problem with power consumption by the phone double rendering maps and slaughtering the phone battery, its being worked on between MRA and Here maps. My experience so far is 702 runing Android Auto and say google maps and music stream display say from Youtube music is it has negligable phone battery consumption, where as the same stream with MRA running will flatten a fully charged Pixel 8 phone battery in under 2 hours if it is not plugged into a charger. Some have reported that even with the phone plugged into a 1amp charger the phone still gradually looses charge due to the load/heat pouring off the phone.

Okay. That’s really good to know.

I only had the MyRoute mapping version but upgraded to the Navigation one last night. Very impressed so far. It’s everything Garmin should have been years ago!

Totally agree - been out this morning with MRA Navigation using android auto from a pixel 8 to a carpuride 702 and with the bug fixes in the latest MRA nav app 4.1.3 it was absolutely superb. Only dream fixes needed are the over heat/processing issues already discussed and for me - one reason I went Carpuride is wanting a large screen due to needing but not riding in reading glasses, Other dream fix would be to increase the size of the speed limit and the actual speed in the top right, as I cannot read when through a visor and I expect even a person with perfect sight would not be able to read them in a momentary glance.

Doesn't anyone enjoy riding and appeciating the freedom of travel by motorcycle without all those gadgets anymore? :duno
And here we go....bring it on...:headbat

I just got back from a 4400 mile tour of Europe and then Scotland, used the W702 the whole time with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Used Google Maps for simple point A to B stuff and MRA for the specific routing stuff and it worked more or less flawlessly.

I did have an issue which they gave me a software update for and seems to have cured it. Was ridden through and left out in torrential rain plus used in baking sunshine and never let me down.
