ive got a '96 1100Gs with what i think are standard BMW Bars.
they mount at the front of the frame under the Tank , loop round the front of the heads and the main mount is on to the front sump guard mounting with a brace also going to the rear s' guard mounting.
Has anyone ever modded this type of bar to include a section that runs along the side of the head( for extra protection) and attaches to the rear frame mounts?
Im so tight(skint)i just thought of modding the original bars, and if i do what would be the best type of tubing to do it with.
I have access to a Mig and stick welder and other bits and pieces etc, but not a pipe bender.
Any ideas??
