The landlord of several large office blocks here in the City put in ground anchors for bods to use. Nobody used them. Same with anchors put in by the council in bike bays.
If bods cannot be bothered to carry something as simple as a disk lock, it follows that they ain't never gonna carry a chain and padlock.

Hey Agent, is this the bike that has replaced a previous stolen bike and you've just had enormous trouble insuring.
Now that would be a thread.

Regardless if it is or isn't I feel your pain. Good luck finding it, and insuring the next one!!!
Hope the thieving bastards get caught and are beaten and receive life threatening injuries.
Check out the date of the posts - this thread was started before the thread on insurance![]()
But if a disc lock isn't going to make a difference, why bother locking it up at all?
I'm working on the assumption that security beyond not leaving the key in the ignition is not going to change the insurance situation...
That's shit luck mate, from what I've read it is Eastern Europeans who are doing this. The bike will no doubt be broken for spares, mostly sold on eBay. It's easy to say.....
Good luck with the insurance..

From what I've read it is Peruvians; or was it Polynesians or gangs from Penzance and Preston? It's so easy to muddle them up.

Nice view. Impressive observation skills Mate. Definitely the right place to sprout absolute bollocks. (BTW, luv your forum contribution to date )Take no notice of Wapping, he is an egotistical ( posts are on everything and mostly nonsense) insurance industry plant!
Generally, he seeks to annoy. It is his day job. How else could someone rack up the post count?
