Another stupid 2610 question

Sorry if this has been asked before but ordered one of those lovely 2610 bike kits from GPSW and recieved it no problem. Just getting to grips with it but after reading all this about getting the V9 update free didn't want to register with Garmin until I'm sure whats involved. Is it automatic that they give you the update or is it something you have to trawl the site to find out? Understand I will need to wait for the disc, do they just email you the unlock code then. I know it's a stipid question but didn't want to register and do something that means I won't qualify for the update

You will have no probs by registering it now. I spoke to Garmin, and they confirmed that any unit registered after Sep 1st 06, will get the free upgrade when its out in a few weeks. He advised me to ring back mid Jan and he would sort my free upgrade out.
