Well after nearly 16K miles on my 2013 GS the heated grips switch has stopped working.
Assuming it is the switchgear, no icon on the dash screen and no heated grips. Dealer is going to look at it earliest 23rd Oct.

Hmm, it seems many owners suffer at some time or another with a switch niggle. It doesn't appear confined to machine or year.
There are posts where a computer reset does the trick and others need a new part.
I've just lost the ability to decelerate the cruise control as it just kicks off - oh well
( was a pain on my last trip -5000 mi)
I get the feeling small electrical issues dog the BMW range a bit.
Still, I'm sure any Italian motorcycle forum would have a section dedicated to it.

Make sure they order spare switchgear ready to install, in that case, as you don't want them saying it needs new switches, then having to wait another 4 weeks for them to fit them.:rob:thumb

Yea. tried to point out that the worse case would be new switchgear etc, etc, ... but all I got in response was we need to check it out. ???????
