My left hand side switchgear has completely stopped working suddenly. All buttons, cruise, lights, esc, horn etc along with the thumb wheel no longer work. Ive taken the lower cover off and sprayed contact cleaner in but no joy. Anybody experience anything similar. I think it may be a wiring issues as all buttons failed simultaneously and not one button at a time. Anybody have a guide on how to dismantle the unit?? Strangely the heated grip on that side works perfectly

If it's under warranty, put it back together and book it in with the dealer

IIRC. It’s soldered joints that fail and there’s nothing you can do

Assuming it’s the original switchgear ( Nokia made I believe ) then there was a TSB for those regarding cruise failure and a free replacement in most cases. I would contact a dealer and ask the question. Tell them cruise failed first then the whole lot packed in just so it fits with the TSB.

There is a fused connector under the front seat that supplies power. It is near the front slightly to the right. It has a cap on it. check them 1st.

Just to give an update. Tried connecting a gs911 for a pre 2010 model and attempted to clear any faults. For some reason i dont understand the unit began working perfectly again. Im delighted i didnt go replacing parts unnecessarily.
Thanks for all the advice and help. Only bought the bike 2 weeks ago and look forward to being part of this community

As the connection between the switchgear and the ZFE is LIN-bus, it may perhaps be that connecting the GS911, allthough not compatible with the LC protocol, may have forced a reset. It may of course also be that there is a loose connection in the switchgear, and fiddeling around brought it back to life. If latter is the case, the switchgear will fail again. Anyway, the fact that the grips still works makes sense, as the powercable to the heated grip is separate from the switchgear LIN-bus.

yes , correct. More likely a connection fault since the entire left switchgear decided to go on holiday. Have a look at the wiring starting from the s.gear onwards.
