Some muppet is adjusting the brass screws on my bike when I'm not at it. I'm suspecting here at work. It's happened a couple of times recently and I'm wondering if there is a cover that can be put over them to stop 'idle hands' from ruining my sync?

Mark them and put a blob of silicon over them......

or give the pranksters the birch, oops wrong thread:D

Silicone. Good idea. I've got a suspicion there is a vidictivness about recent activity. Silicone will not stop the messer with a screwdriver. I'll put some on anyway. Thanks.

Thing is, if you have some vindictiveness going on preventing one thing may cause them to try something else, possibly worse:mad:

vindictive?

a big dab of non drying paint (oil mixed with gloss) on those screws.
Now that's vindictive. :augie

Point taken! I think a rebalance and record the exact number of screw turns is in order. Might put some silicone on though all the same.

I know that Wunderlich do some ridiculously expensive and fairly horrid looking throttle body covers for 1200's - they might do similar for 11xx's?

I'm just about to head out to the bike to see if I could fashion something myself.

I think vindictive is the wrong phrase btw. I think it's just a muppet who probably thinks it's funny.

Punch him in the throat... always stops people from messin' around! :thumb

This is a joke.... well... just in case...

I think a gentle punch in the throat is a pretty sound idea :thumb2, or one of those stickers that says "If you value your life as much as I value my bike......"

id pop a vid camera in a car next to the bike, then punch the guy :thumb2

It's more of a 'once a month' variety. I'll look at those covers. ... I used to have them on my r850r lol lol. Long time ago. Thanks. Just the job. I had completely forgotten about those things. I remember now. They both fell off. Crap design iirc.

Wire it up to the mains :D
But just remember to disconnect it before touching it yourself :blast

A short sharp kick in the nuts followed by the aforementioned punch in the throat would be my way of stopping it.

That would sort it,and a few broken fingers would help as well:thumb2

Maybe the lambda sensors acting up. Joking aside, those covers are worth buying. They look great on iirc. I Wonder if they could be modded to distract eijets and remain secure?

stick a charged ( sorry drop an loose ) a chared capacitor in the area of the brass screws then watch the fun

make bike theft a capital crime
