Does anyone have any experience of heated gloves as i am thinking of buying a pair for my wife as her hands get cold.
Battery or 12v / good makes / bad makes.
Any help would be appreciated.

wife hardly ever uses her heated gloves due to having to plug then in, which is difficult to repeatedly do, but what I do have fitted is a pair of oxford hot hands, which she holds in her hand on the gs, but get wrapped around the rack on my other bikes, I have fitted a bwm plug to enable this, she much prefers them :thumb2

:) as above.....I've got the Sports gloves and they are excellent, I rode all last winter in them down to about -2 or so and still didn't have them "flat out"
I've used them in conjunction with my heated liner (nice and easy as the liner has the feeds in the sleeves for gloves) and also solo,
Solo is slightly more of a faff but once you have fed the wiring thru your jacket it's still 2 secs work to plug them in when you get on the bike.

They are thin enough to be comfortable to wear with no "bulk" to them, the palms are thin enough to make the heated grips worth while still, the only down side being that if you forget your powerlead they aren't as warm as other winter gloves !:augie
100% waterproof so far as well and being heated they dry quick !:D
I had a long look at other makes of heated clothing and decided on Powerlet due to it's flexibility and "on line" reputation....
so far so good....;)

I have the sports powerlet gloves and jacket liner as well - top kit. I have the dual controller, start them off on full but soon turn them down to no more than half for general winter riding. Wish I could work out a better location for the controller though other than on my jacket which means I can't see the settings easily.

I stick a piece of 3M Dual-Lock (like heavy duty velcro) to the tank in the winter months to hold the controller where I can see it.
I am very happy with my Gerbing gloves. There are quite a few agents in the UK able to back up the lifetime electrical warranty.

My other half uses Gerbing leather gloves, loves them, but also likes the fact she can use them on our friends RS as well as my GS or Blackbird. Shes uses an in line on/off switch rather than the thermostat and just turns them on or off as necessary. Gerbings stat is to clumbersome.
We both use Gerbing jacket liners as well, but again I've swapped the power plugs to a Klan/giali type and use klan/giali inline stats which are much easier to use.
Don't be tempted by Klan gloves though, we had them before the gerbings and they are cr4p, almost 100% heat loss.

I have both the Klan/Giali heated glove liners and their gauntlets - I find them to be excellent and the latter quite waterproof
