Any body else still waiting ?

me too. I have been told it was in the dealership last week, but needs to get its pre delivery inspection done. How long does that take!!!!

I had a test ride on a GSA 10 days ago and the dealer told me I could have a new bike in 6 weeks from date of order

What spec did you go for?

Same here, ordered one last week and build on 15th June and delivery to dealer on 26th.

I'm guessing a few days for PDI and the fitting of panniers, Akro etc. but 6 weeks from order.

A lot depends on how many GSA's your dealer has been allocated from each build run. At present demand outstrips supply. I was warned that NOG had 3 allocated from currant build runs. If I had missed this allocation of bikes my delivery would be sept/October

This might be what's happened in your case.

Something's gone very wrong there unless the dealer I spoke to was bullshitting me about the delivery time on a TE spec bike?

Ordered a White TE in march for delivery second week in July in formed a couple of weeks ago its going to be end of August :(

I ordered mine on 13th March. It will be delivered this week! But no fun at all!! I ordered a olive green one and somehow accidentally a white one was built for me! No joke. Last Friday I followed the VIN Number in the BMW online VIN decoder to be present when my baby is born and was surprised when my VIN appeared. It showed a white GSA. I directly called BMW factory in Berlin coz I thought they can change the wrong color as the bike is still there. But I got disappointed. They said that would be impossible and BMW Munich would be the point of contact for me. So I called BMW Munich. They took the details and that is it! No clarification for that case yet. My dealer was also surprised as he stated that he got the order confirmation for a green one and additionally claims that he could not officially order green parts from BMW to change color. Suspicious! I checked the necessary parts on leebmann24.de and found out that all the parts are available in 1-3 days for 384€. http://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-ersatzteile/#!marke=BMW&mospid=56207&hg=51
So I waited 11 friggin weeks and in the end I am totally frustrated and BMW is totally inflexible to offer me a fast solution.

Turned out that BMW itself made no mistake at all!! There was "something else" going on in the dealer shop! Something which is obviously unbelievable but can't be confirmed by written evidence by now. So I am careful about what I report here.

Is white the default colour? ......... in other words if the dealer doesn't put a colour down or puts down the wrong colour for the model ordered the ordering system just supplies white?

Just got the chassis number for mine still 352 bikes to be built ! dont know how many they build in a week ?

Is it the same story regarding the luggage boxes and lock sets? do i need to order those now? :rob

Picked up my Adventure last week and was told up to 6 weeks for boxes at present, locks around 3-4 weeks. I was told that the locks are ordered against the VIN number so until that's confirmed I don't think they can be ordered - at least that's the impression I formed from the dealer's comments. Mine was a cancelled order and the original buyer hadn't ordered luggage, so I've got a bit of a wait.

Got my GSA on 5th May, still waiting for panniers.....................!

If the bikes were fully configurable, with loads of options, like BMW cars, I could understand the long wait, but as most people are going for the TE spec, why don't BMW take a risk, and build more, so that they can meet demand quicker?:nenau

The quicker they supply the bikes, the sooner people will trade up to a newer model. Think about it. They will make more money, in the long run.:rob

I find it odd that there is such a long wait on the best selling bike IN THE WORLD!

Could be because it's the best selling bike in the world :P;)

There's an XE in Alpine white available with free luggage on autotrader from Riders in Bristol. It sounds like it's there all ready for collection. £14765, is that a good price? No idea what they go for.
