Any body else still waiting ?

I find it odd that there is such a long wait on the best selling bike IN THE WORLD!

Could be because it's the best selling bike in the world :P;)[/QUOTE]

Exactly. They should increase production.:rob:D

There's an XE in Alpine white available with free luggage on autotrader from Riders in Bristol. It sounds like it's there all ready for collection. £14765, is that a good price? No idea what they go for.

I believe the XE is about £14700. So basically you are getting free luggage worth £900

If the bikes were fully configurable, with loads of options, like BMW cars, I could understand the long wait, but as most people are going for the TE spec, why don't BMW take a risk, and build more, so that they can meet demand quicker?

I seem to remember that when the liquid cooled GS came out in 2013 the TE spec bikes were made for the UK market only?

Juat checked on the chassis numbers they are up to Z208370 Mine is Z208661 seam to be building 80-100 bikes a day might end up with a Friday build ! :blast

Ordered my TE in alpine white back in late April from Riders in Cardiff. Been told late June.

I agree with the statement that BMW should build more top spec bikes to meet demand. Seems a bit of a scam really that they offer the bike in three different specs to begin with. Why?

Any how I sit and wait ... and wait...and ...;)

Is white the default colour? ......... in other words if the dealer doesn't put a colour down or puts down the wrong colour for the model ordered the ordering system just supplies white?

Well, it turns out that the dealer changed -my- green ADV order from 13th March on the 31th March in white for a different customer who ordered a white ADV allegedly on the 2nd March  !? That's a story I can't believe! For 2 ½ month I got continuously the information, that my bike will be delivered in week 22. The office people in the dealer shop always gave the same answer when they checked my order in the BMW system because beside the order you can see the customer name and the VIN of the vehicle. The bike is now punctually there in white and a different customer is getting it.

He's either more important or paid extra compared to you, sadly

You guys still waiting on your bikes and our dealer (Dalkeith) had a new white model sitting in the showroom....:nenau

No SOLD sign on it...........

I had my dealer check across the country for a TE in White. Had no luck thus I placed the order.
Catch. As for your circumstance I would really look into that in more detail. I have not even been given a VIN number yet next to my order.

I investigated everything! The VIN appears about 5 to 10 days before the bike is build. The dealer difinitely changed the order I placed on the 13th March. I sent a complaint to BMW about the dealer. Have no answer yet but know for sure that he already had to justify a few facts.

Vin now up to 640 only 21 more bikes to build then mine should be on its way ! hoping the long wait will be worth it still some of the early build issues should have been ironed out!!:rob

Better not mention how quickly BMW came up with my GSA which I picked up yesterday :green gri

Nobody has commented on this yet?

I'm sure I didn't make it up and that the TE spec GS was a 'special' for the UK market only?

I think that's just how BMW UK has chosen to market their bikes, BMW USA offers different packages as do other BMW national sites. When I look up my GSA on the BMW VIN checker there is nothing to say it's a TE, just a list of options that were factory fitted.

Ordered a new Gsa lc on 3rd Feb and still waiting !Scheduled for the end of may !
Yesterday BMW Italia told me mid july:(:(

Bike now made! just checked again all looks ok right spec and colour should have itr in the next two weeks :beerjug:

How did you get the vin number etc? :nenau

I followed a cars progress a few years back. Would be nice to follow the bike being built / born :D

Jon :beerjug:

Yes I too am very interested in finding out my VIN number. Sounds a great way to follow the bike that you ordered. After all, when you get a bike you tend to bond with it so I might as well start early:)
