Got a notice through the door saying I had to collect a parcel from the post office, so with no further a do...booted and spured...me and my mate set off to Wetherby's post office to collect the said parcel.............via Hawes
this is the first time i've had chance to give my new 800 GS a run out other than the trip to work and back.
We got carried away and so there arent any pics until a wee wee stop at Kettlewell
I must point out that the poor quality of the pics is due to the camera phone....sorry
It was starting to get chilly so we headed towards Hawes for something to eat, but before arriving at Hawes we found Cam fell road (or something like that
) and a great photo opportunity.
and so on to Hawes and Penny Garth Cafe

We were the last to be served and as soon as we finished we were ushered out and the doors locked behind us
So now time was against us, as Mark is on nights and had to be heading back, so with the agreement that we would stop for more photos we set off back.
first stop, Aisegarth falls......just stunning

If you havent been there it is well worth the trip. The Falls lead down to some Mill houses, a gift shop......
And a HEEOOOOOGGE Mill

From there we tramped on a bit until more scenery wanted snapping.
Leyburn was calling and then on to Ripon and to see the Cathedral. It was quite difficult to get some good photos with the bike and the Cathedral. The GS looked so small at the side of this behemoth...
Heading towards Borough Bridge I noticed some standing stones....was this a prototype Stonehenge Yorkshire stylee

Now we really had to make haste so we went on here for the last leg...
then finally the sign that said I was home....
The parcell.....
Well that contained a little something for my on going project and all thanks to fleabay....
We had a good day.......cold.......but a good ride out. Cheers Mark
