Hi.
Just wondering if anyone knows when we can expect to see these in the showrooms?
Thanks.

Didn't they 'promise' wire wheels for October (November?) ?Williams in Manchester today said they are expecting the first one in next week . They said each dealership is only getting 7 and they have already sold 4 . Wire wheels will likely not be available until next year !

I was at a Motorrad Dealer last week when I was told that the bikes arrive in Southampton from India are then sent to Crick for PDI, then shipped to Germany, before being brought back to the UK and delivered to the Dealer networkThe WW must be on the slow boat from India.

The wire wheels don't come with the Trophy version. They are listed as an accessory, which you will need to buy for around £1,200Watching some reviews and I'm not sure about the motor, seems a bit of a lady toy on the vibrating levels, and the wire wheels apparently only come on the top spec model with the auto.
I have been seriously thinking about changing my CRF300 Rally for the F450 GS. But after a bit of researching, I am having second thoughts.
1. The Trophy model they have shown in nearly all the press releases has had the wire wheels, Akrapovic exhaust and Rally seat and crash bars. These are extras that you have to buy separately from the bike adding around £2.5k to the price.
2. You can only get the Trophy with the Easy Ride Clutch. It may be a useful thing, but you won't be able to park on a hill without the bike rolling as the clutch doesn't engage until around 2.5k rpm. There doesn't seem to be any manual hand brake for these situations either.
3. A 3 year service plan costs around £1200. And I assume single services will cost more.
It will be interesting to see how the dealers respond to these issues, as they have definitely put me off buying one for now.
Let's hope the Germans, at least, read the verdict in Motorrad magazine, which is:-
"It's the most expensive in the class, but also the best ....so still value for money"
Don't argue with me, I'm a road-only rider and don't understand such machines.
Wrong!!! They placed the BMW 900R in third (last) place against 2 others in the same issue. No arguments, but………..mmmmmm Motorrad magazine, independent no bias review![]()
Oh!!! I didn’t read the magazine - just commented on the quote you posted relating to the F450gs as per this thread.Wrong!!! They placed the BMW 900R in third (last) place against 2 others in the same issue.
Look for yourself if you don't believe me.
