any garmin2610 experts out there

hi all, I'm hoping someone on here can help me with a couple of problems firstly I'm a bit of a numpty with GPS so please don't get too technical with your answers, well here goes, i've got this garmin 2610 and still learning how to use it ,first question, how do i put in GPS coordinates either on the computer to download or straight to the unit. And next when looking for accommodation i click on the area ,nearest places ,lodgings , sub categories ,why wont it show campground or camp sites and last but not least how do i put in an address for France or Spain, UK seems to be no problem, example formule 1, Les fourneaux 17690 angoulins s/mer

If I understand you right, you want to be able to mark somewhere with a LAT/LONG. Basically create a new waypoint (either on your PC, or on the 2610), then edit it and change the lat/long. Name it what you want and you're sorted.

Same as anywhere - and "as little info as possible" is usually best. I put in "fourneaux" in the street and "angoulins", and "Aveneue des Fourneaux" came up. Specifically if you are looking for hotels, goto Lodgings and put the town in (unless it's Paris or London!!!) and it'll bring it up. I did this for "angoulins" and it brought up the Formula 1 and a "Première Classe".

dont think camping sites are in as poi's think you'll have to get a custom poi set for campsites. Same as marki for the address, less is more when finding a foreign address.

They're not listed on the European version - just like lap dancing clubs and McDonalds'. Apparently, there's no demand for them. I seem to remember reading somewhere that campsites were listed in the American version.

Have you got the relevant maps of France downloaded to the unit?
