Any lathe owners able to help?

Asking a favour.....

I purchased the wheel adapter pictured so that I could change the tyre and balance the rear wheel on my 1200GS. The problem I have is that the bore of the adapter is 18mm and the shaft on the balancer / tyre changer is 20mm .

Does anyone local to Bromsgrove have a lathe they could use to bore it out to 21mm? (the adapter is made from what feels like very hard plastic). Obviously there is a beer in it if anyone can help. Thanks!

Don't go to 21mm, much too sloppy a fit. For me max would be 20.1 mm or even slightly less, a nice sliding fit with no play if the shaft can come off make sure the machinist has this with the adaptor.....if not measure with a 0-25 outside micrometer over a number of places up and around the shaft and bore the adaptor to the largest reading +0.05 / 0.1mm.
