Hello All,

I'm interested in a R1150GSA which is being sold by a non franchised dealer in Chester.

They are called Bretton Motorcycles, can anyone give me any feedback them?

Thanks very much

1150gsa

just looking at it on there web site it looks good
low miles
price well just shows the 1150gsa holds it's own
is there any panniers with it ?????????
couldn't see if there was any corrosion on the fork legs at the bottom and the timing cover usual place
get it hpi'd
and what about warrenty
other wise see if you can knock them down with the price winter coming and all that
go on you know you want it :beerjug::beerjug::beerjug::beerjug::beerjug::beerjug::beerjug::beerjug:

I don't know them but for what it's worth, I'd say that bike was a tad overpriced: It doeasn't appear to have any additional extras whatsoever. Also, it has yellow indicator lenses which I thought where on older bikes, but I may be wrong about that, and it doesn't even have the crash bars that an Adventure usually comes with.

Apparently you can ask BMW Motorrad for the original spec of the bike idf you give them the chassis number. Also, my V5 says my bike is an Adventure.

You could find a better bike at a better price...:thumb

Does seem a very high price, especially as they have no service history with it.

Just wondered if they were a reputable dealer?

No panniers and only a 28 day warranty

I bought mine privately for a lot less than what they're asking, and it came with panniers, top box, wally flaps, leg shields and wide footpegs.

Does it have heated grips? You'll want them.

The deal they are offering is a bit poor in my opinion and without any history it's a serious risk, even if the mileage is low.

Have a look elsewhere. :blagblah

Seems to have heated grips, in the photos there is a switch below the start button.

Looks quite clean from the photos, not many 1150GSA for sale at the mo.

There's a few on Autotrader's site but I didn't look at how old the ad's were so, I don't know if they are still available. The one in Wales looks nice.

Don't be put off by mileage numbers.

From their web site, it looks like this is the same people who ran Sportster down City Road (Chester) for some years. Good guys, very helpful, good reputation (I lived there 20 yrs +): they used to do work for Bill Smiths at busy times. If that's them and you can get some movement on price, it could be a good buy.

Thanks, hopefully the service history has just been misplaced and a few calls to dealers will clarify it's been done.

Did think of test riding it and in the course of take it to the local Motorrad dealers and ask them to give it the once over.
