My mate who`s a bike instructor had a ride on my adventure and has become instantly hooked.He`s just ordered a new one for his training steed,should be here early August,but he`s keen to get one earlier.

Has anyone seen a new sliver GSA with heated grips and engine bars but without ABS in any dealers anywhere?

May I suggest a dealer transfer, rather than you dealing with Park Lane, just check Dealers.

It`ll be good to have some one else to go GS riding with,the lads in the peak district group somehow keep getting hold of my work roster and plan fun rides on days they know i`am not around

bvm moto in stroud have a silver abs adv......it may be sold but it was sitting there on saturday.....and at a good dealership! call mark kemp if interested....

You know that and I know that,I`ve certainly got them on my Adventure,but my mate seems to think because he`s an instructor he`s imune from any mishaps.

I just watched the repeat programme this evening which featured NASCAR racer Dale Earnheart - a racer who shunned the use of the HANS device (a helmet restraint system) as he knew he was immune from a basilar skull fracture (broken neck).

Earnheart died as the result of a crash in the Daytona 500 on 18 February 2001. He was killed by a basilar skull fracture.

SPC had one unregistered (dont know if it was sold), plus a few low mileage jobs yesterday.

I went in in search of a low mileage 1150 GS, was offered a 2000 (W) plate, import, one owner, 135 miles showing, no engine number on the V5. All for a mere £7k.

The salesman got a little huffy when I said no thanks.

That's 'cos they've got a glut of 12's bought by the mistaken few who have traded the plastic pigs in for a proper bike

(only joking.....but Prestige have a couple of 12's that were bought like this then traded in exchange for ADV's because the buyers realised the error of their ways,,,,,,)

Err.. there's exactly what you want at Williams in Manchester. Well almost, it's black.
There's a silver one in Crewe at a knock down price (-£500) to compensate for the switchable ABS.

I couldn't wait for one in April 03. My local dealership did not have any in and I was told the waiting list was even longer then. A phonecall established there were 3 available in the country - cancelled orders probably.

I had to be slightly flexible with the spec but I had a new black one without abs (what I wanted) within the fortnight.

There was a silver one with ABS, engine bars and grips but that has probably gone now which doesn't help you much......
