No ferries at all Scotland to Europe.
Rosyth/Zeebrugge with Superfast did indeed cease in the autumn of 2009 but Norfolk line started it again in late spring 2010
My apologies....This is from the DFDS/Norfolk line Website
The former Norfolkline ferry service between Rosyth and Zeebrugge has now closed. However if you need to travel to Europe, the Newcastle - Amsterdam ferry is the perfect alternative, and could save you time and money.
I traveled on the Immingham - Brevik ferry and came back via Gothenberg, Sweden last autumn, so a little more info for anyone interested.I thought the Rosyth ferry had been binned ?
Anyway - just had word back from DFDS about the Immingham - Brevik freight service.
Bike & rider will be aboot £230 each way, including meals and accom.
Not too bad when you consider the alternative.
I've attached the details in case they're of interest to anyone else.
Ah... the memories, the confusion, how it all comes backall cargo and passengers need to book in at the house in the car park prior to getting on the ferry
Gothenburg terminal ID Services is the blue building as seen from the car park - Thanks farmboy

whilst I was waiting in the queue at Stavanger for the Hirshals boat - one of the Fjorline men told me that Fjordline were about to open up a stavanger / aberdeen route ........ no idea how true and when ...... but rumours are always good

Superb first post! Lets hope that happens, an overnight ferry from Aberdeen could work for me, quite fancy another trip to Norway!whilst I was waiting in the queue at Stavanger for the Hirshals boat - one of the Fjorline men told me that Fjordline were about to open up a stavanger / aberdeen route ........ no idea how true and when ...... but rumours are always good

Now that would be some ferryNow all I need to do is start a rumour that they are going to run a passenger ferry from Whitby to Moskenes and thats my trips sorted out for the rest of my life![]()
I didn't know they had an option on a third boat, but if they do your right, next year, but that might suite me,If you do a bit Google... Apparently they are now building 2 new Ferries with an option on a third. Decision by May/June to take the third or not. It would be used on the Aberdeen route.
So here's hoping - but looks one for next year at the earliest
