Any news or rumours on the changes for 2016 MY??

Does BMW paint any of their cars with flat paint or is it only the motorcycles?

Maybe it saves a few quid not having a lacquer on top and to my eye, matt finish just look cheap and nasty.

Pearlescent glossy white for me .:thumb2

Heard (reliable) rumours today of 700 and 800 GS models being discontinued and something different coming for 2016. No more detail than that I'm afraid...

That makes sense - in light of current offers on them

Having owned an F800ST, F700GS and F800GT I won't be crying if they drop them. I tried very hard to like the engine but it's a horrible, vibey, annoying engine whose only redeeming feature is the decent fuel economy. The boxer in the 1200's is a nicer twin all round imho. Odd if they drop the 700GS though as it hasn't been out for 3 years - maybe it hasn't sold well?

Thanks for that, I thought it vibey over 80, but smooth at 50-60

Prefer the boxer though

I was loaned a F800 whilst my 1200 was in for a service.

Not very often I'm given a bike on a nice day off work & take it straight home and put it in the garage.

It's funny you say that, as I did exactly the same thing a couple of years ago!

Weird, ain't it

I took a F8GSA out a month ago, around the Moors and Dales and didn't warm to it

10 days ago I took a different one out and tried it on m/ways and A roads - still wasn't struck, didn't shout 'buy me'

I also took out a WC GSA and RT and thought the RT rode the nest of the 3, lovely bike

Let's hope they put the new WC MY 2016 RT gearbox/clutch into the 2016 MY GSA as it was the only thing that let the MY 2015 GSA down
