Representative from BMW said the K1300 4 cylinder was being discontinued because the 6 cylinder 1600 is only 1.5" wider and with the 4 cylinder S series they feel that niche is covered.

Representative from BMW said the K1300 4 cylinder was being discontinued because the 6 cylinder 1600 is only 1.5" wider and with the 4 cylinder S series they feel that niche is covered.
That could be very well true, but also fact that K1300 wouldn't meet new EU emission laws and BMW doesn't want to spend money on development of 1300CC engine when they have S1000 and K1600 at their disposal.
The triple black does nothing for me. And the red, nah!
As for the emergency brake light, this isn't necessary, as GS riders NEVER have to emergency brake, as we are all riding gods!
Never used my ABS so don't need ABS Pro.
Would like rear brake pads not made of cheese though.

No thanks, neither the GS or the GSA appeal from a styling perspective. That should read lack of styling. I still think they look like somebody has thrown a bucket full of plastic mouldings at a pre-glued bare bike.
Utterly lacking in elegance or even a cohesive sense of purpose. Are the gearboxes/clutches still shite as well, bad enough to need a quick shifter to tidy up the changes?

When they say that the 2016 models are available to order from August 2015 does anyone know if it means that you can place your order then or the bikes are actually available then?
You place your order then. The bikes will start to hit dealers mid to end of September.
And you pay the increased price 
I got mine ordered no problem on saturday, had a update on the build today it might be ready before the end of August
yea sure thinking of it but will be for march 2016 when "Olive" is 2 years old bless her she will have around 28k on her clock.... can't find owt that gives me a smile other than the GSA :-

That seems very reasonable of you get to keep the original panels?
I saw a matt red one at Garmisch .... to be honest I didn't pay much attention to it as there was a blonde bird wearing lederhosen stood two bikes down from it
