Any one painted this panel?

Indeed looks great.
anohter question.....your bike looks immaculate. I clean mine after every road trip but I do notice the black starting to go a bit grey'ish..... any tips for keeping the black bits black?
Looks can be deceiving, I am not fastidious in cleaning…..I wash it when I’m embarrassed to be seen on it…🤣 Just car shampoo and water….

The greying is probably limescale, possibly from washing when the engine is still warm? I use Koch Chemi's 'FSE' for that. Spray on after I've dried paintwork and rub it dry. I mainly use it for where water spots dry on screens and paintwork, as I have really hard water here and limescale appears with every warm weather wash, where water can start to dry off.

Harley do a post wash engine aerosol spray for their black cylinder heads and cases. That masks it and looks like new again, but can leave a silicon residue.

Try this. Not cheap for what it is but restores black trim, (semi-permanently)….
I use it on the car; haven’t really noticed any colour change on the bike but then I’m a lazy washer.

I take it you’ve already got the Harley bucket, the Harley sponge, the Harley mop, and the Harley water to go with it? :D

Much better.

Went with a rattle can of Hammerite, lots of very light passes - by no mean factory but certainly doesn’t cheapen the bike.
