Any past GS owners left?

Multistrada

I will try and remember to look in occasionally - When I can prise myself away from the two wheeled objects in my garage - Which now number - Two motorcycles, two scooters and 3.5 pedal cycles(The .5 is a 25" Reynolds 531 frame which I no longer need!). All of which need constant riding and attention - especially the older ones. ( That's mainly the pedal cycles - which are almost antique at 13!)

With all those and the Internet - it is diffciult to get time to do anything to earn a living but I will drop in when I can and update you.

As for the bike - It comes up very nice in red - not a BMW colour of late.

I bought a GS Adventure in March 2003 and sold it a couple of weeks ago.

I bought it with the intention of using it for touring and a bit of green laning. I did the touring bit, which it is perfect for and I enjoyed riding it. I took it down a few green lanes, but its lousy at this task, no feedback from the tyres in the dirt, far too heavy to pick up, no fun at all.

The GS had great handling and brakes but lacked the acceleration for a fun weekend blast that puts a grin on my face. Which was no problem as I also had an Aprilia RSV-R for that task. But I have now traded the Aprilia for a Triumph Speed Triple. The Triumph can almost do everything the Aprilia and the GS did for me (with the exception of the Green Lanes) and so I decided to sell the GS as well.
