I have decided that I am going to keep my old GSA (138,000miles) and spend a bit of time and money on her this winter. Plan is to remove and get serviced the Wilburs which in my opinion are fantastic but have covered about 60,000 miles and could do with a rebuild – was thinking about using Revs Suspension – anyone used them as they are new to me having used Kais for my Ohlins on the other bike.
Having a bony bum I find the stock seat hard after a few hours and use an airhawk but I am thinking about investing in a Sargent or a Touratech aftermarket seat – again anyone have any opinions on which is better. I have had the original seat refoamed and recovered by Diggers in Newport but two or three hours into a ride I am twitching on the saddle…
My engine and gearbox are all sorted, final drive all done, new Dunlops fitted, sat nav and mapping installed years ago and working fine, some farkles care of Vern and a few others, rewired by me and she is as reliable as anything.
I need a new set of panniers and was thinking metal mule as my old Zega’s leak a lot as the lids no longer fit or alternatively Zega Pro which means I can use the same mounting points – again anyone have any thoughts?
