Any Schuberth C2 users?

Head of Vice

Like mine but gave up on the Autocom earpieces and went for ear buds in the end. It's a quiet helmet and only mists up if I get really scared.

The speakers in my C2 were excrutiatingly painful until I took a trip to Autocom. They sorted out the problem explaining that the recesses for the speakers in the C2 are round whereas the speakers are actually oval - and so - by slightly modifying the shape of the recesses the speakers now fit perfectly and I cant feel them pressing on my ears at all! The mod took about 15 mins to do, Autocom didnt charge me anything for doing it and whatsmore they gave me a nice cup of coffee while I waited. The only down side is that you've got to take a run up to Warwick - still, that should only be a couple of hours from Weymouth I should think!

Incidentally, all this talk about the Schuberth C2 being so quiet - well, maybe I've led a sheltered life but my C2 is anything but quiet. When I pointed this out to the dealer that sold me the helmet he said it was down to the crap screen on a BMW GS! No I'm thinking of changing my standard screen for a Nippy Norman one - in the hope that this will eliminate the constant sound of the blowtorch that accompanies my rides (I am quite serious - the noise is unbelievable). Also, it might reduce the head banging from the wind on motorway journeys - that would be nice too!

believe me its quiet compared to other flip fronts, mine 1150gs with wunderlich screen, doesnt give to much noise and turbulance, no doubt there is better about though :thumb2

Quiet or not?

Odd but my C2 seems quieter with the visor UP! It come down to what frequencies you react to.

My BMW System 4 seems quieter than the C2.

The C2 is better. Apart from it being much newer the flip down tinted visor is absolutely ace.

Sorry about the delay in coming back to you, been away.
Yes, I've heard that Autocom have a good after sales service and it'd be a good excuse for a ride out. Having their own earpieces working would certainly save fiddling around with ear buds at every stop!
Cheers

I'm generally pleased with the C2 -had it for a good 3 years and 25k miles. Note to wife: at 3 years it needs replacing - must be time to "drop" it!!!!

The flip dark visor is a god send on partly cloudy days.

I ride with visor clicked forward all the time.

I have had similar problems with the autocom and given up in favour of ear plug speakers - although will need to change back as going to Ireland with wife next weekend.

Biggest bug bear is the visor not staying up above 30mph - there are times when it can be so damn hot (Wales excluded!) that I would welcome being able to click visor open

[Cue: f-fing great wasp into side of helmet on motorway leading to mad slapping of side of head at 90mph!!!]
