Any solution about the thin grips??

Hi everyone,i find the grips of my GSA very thin and after a while my hands get soar especially when i ride in the city..Is there any solution like grip puppies or maybe aftermarket grips but without causing a problem to the heated mechanism..Thanks!!

I fitted grip puppies, well got someone to fit them and there great. The original grips were beginning to wear but there fine now even with the heated grips. The guy who fitted them said they were very tight to get on but was quite impressed with them himself.

It may be that the R1150R grips will fit. They are thicker and very comfy. May be worth checking with a dealer.

We've just fitted grip puppies to my 12GS and madame's 800GS.

Both very pleased but take care to thoroughly wash off whatever you use for lube when putting them on. I had a bit of slipping so pushed them back from both ends in turn and gave them a thorough rinse.- problem solved.

Sounds more like sex tips...

Thanks..site says soapy water to put them in,so after the install i turn them and wipe the soap so they won't slip!Already ordered them!Thanks for the tips!

One of the 1200 owners on a Moto-Morocco trip (Brian) had fitted O-Rings.

I was unloading his bike from the trailer (in the dark) and noticed that the grips were nice and chunky unlike standard 1200 ones. In the daylight they looked very good (very cheap fix too).

do you ever ride along and then get the feeling that the grips are slowly getting bigger and bigger until you imagine that you can hardly get your hand around them ?

I get it about once a year, normally on a long trip.

Had it today riding along the A41

really odd and have met a couple of riders who have had it as well
