After a very 'heated discussion' (over customer service that borders on the illegal!)with the owner of Presige in Bexleyheath following my 48k service I'm looking for a new garage/dealer to get my ADV serviced in the future. A shame really as generally pleased with Prestige in the past(bought my bike from them new and had last 8 services carried out by their old service manager). Where do GSers use in kent?

Go a bit further round the car park and use Steptoe; top man in his field :thumb

Steve Franklyn, the service manager for Prestige when they were open, is starting to do servicing work from his own place near Southend.

It may be worth giving him a call.

I've known Steve for many years, since he was the technician at Fairfileds, and have always found him to be a bloody good bloke who won't give you any bullsh*t about BMW's.

His number is 07711 364 930

After being a tad fed up with Cannon Motorcycles (see another thread in this section) I've now booked my 1150 Adv in with Brian Giles in Pembury. His contact details are somewhere on this site and he seems to come rather highly recommended.

Obviously can't comment on the quality of his workmanship yet but the initial phone contact was very encouraging.

Brian Giles has done a couple of services for me and I cannot praise him highly enough. He was head spanner man at L&C in Tunbridge Wells before they stopped dealing with bikes.

His prices are very good too and he can supply and fit tyres too for a good price. Do a search for him on here.

Failing that the other alternative who is equally as good has to be Steptoe, what else can be said about Neil that has not already been said, top man :thumb

Where are all the good dealers gone.

Having read many threads today i'm finding it hard to find any good things about dealers. Motorrad need to do something, maybe have a read of this site cos it's a bit scary.
