Hey all,

Had new tyres fitted last week and since them my rear TPS has been intermittently on/off. Now its completely off and reporting low pressure, even though it is not.

Obviously easiest thing would be to go back to the dealer and get them to sort it, but its not that local, so was hoping to see if there is a way to reset the TPS system or disable it at least so it stops giving me a false positive.

Any ideas?

If it was your dealer who changed your tyres, the potentially damaged your monitor and therefore fully liable for fixing it under warranty or even if your bike is outside of it.

A simple friendly email to the dealer should see you getting it sorted.

I am not sure of how one would disable system in question, but one thing am aware of, is that new MOT regulations are coming into force this coming May and if your vehicle has any (that are warning or a hazard) lights come up on the dash during the test, it will have an instant fail.

Yep I emailed dealer to let them know, waiting on a response from them. MOT not due until November, so should have some time to sort. Just a pain to have to arrange getting back to dealership (like I say, not local) to get it sorted. grrrrrrrrrrr
