Just a quick update on the Badlands suit which I have tested in a couple of ways over the last week. After a camping trip up to Scotland in which the waterproofing was tested daily in some biblical rain and winds on a bike with no fairing at all I can say I remained dry at all times apart from a damp neck warmer. money well spent I think
Then unfortunately on the way back I binned the XT at Spean Bridge
and ended up hitting the wall chest height at about 20mph ( at least that was the speed I was doing when I parted company with the bike). It was a relatively slow speed get off but a pretty abrupt stop, I was a bit gutted about the grazes and hole in the chest pocket but the armour worked brilliantly and apart from a few bruises, aches, pains and stiffness I feel pretty lucky and ok.
So not sure how waterproof it will be now but happy I was wearing it
