Looking for something to fit for a trip to Morocco in September, and the Heidenaus , though there aren't many reviews of them on the GSA, those that there are say they're good.
Did see one post on here that suggested the K60 on the front and the K60 Scout on the back was the best combination, but I can't see a 120/70-19 option in the K60's?
The Continental TKC 70 would be my first choice but reports of strange wear patterns have me worried.
The Anakee 3's fitted at the moment are going flat in the centre even after just 3000 miles (mainly on a trip to Switzerland in May)
I am torn between the TKC70's and the K60 Scouts now.
Any comments?

I ended up fitting a new set of Anakees before my trip and had no problem at all, all the pistes / off road bits we did caused no issue. It also meant we got to enjoy the N260 for a day without too much compromise on tyres.

My buddy GSAMARK of this parish has had them on his GSA for a few thousand miles now and loves them. I have ridden with him for those few thousand miles and I am well impressed with their performance on the tracks and on the road. Wear rate is also impressive. I will be looking at fitting them on my GS. for our proposed trip up the Dalton next year. The Mitas EO7 are worth a look also i reckon.

Had them on my F800GS... they are super hard wearing long distance adventure tyres. They're not as grippy as the TKC80 but you'll get loads of miles out of them. I personally don't think they're as good in the wet but others have said they're ok. The tyres walls are super stiff so are difficult to change yourself, even a fitter with the proper machine might struggle a little. But with proper technique and loads of lube it's do-able. The stiff wall means you can run at lower pressures but this might be difficult without a tube anyway. If you can get the ones without the continuous band of rubber down the centre of the tyre you'll be better off, I think this is what affects the handling the most, at least that's my perception. Whatever you get it's a good idea to carry a spare tube, the ultra HD tube from BMW-Pirelli is proper hardcore: I have them in my F800GS wheels now with the K60s!

And now there's another contender... the Avon Trailmasters, just out, claim to have better life than the old Distanzia's.
Might be too soon for any real life useage reports.

ediloby from here has had to have tkc70's for his 12wc gsa So far he's impressed with the tkc's as he had k60 scouts on his 12 hex head but only recently fitted so no time yet to properly assess in the long term.

Had had several sets of Heidenau K60 & K60 Scouts on my GSA, great tyres, good price, high mileage, great handling and no issues, slightly noisy if tyre pressures are wrong.

Have now got a set waiting for my GSA WC and can't wait to wear out original tyres get them on.

Do make sure you get the tubeless version if you have tyre pressure sensors and don't fancy using tubes ! I didn't realise the difference and now have....

For Sale

Pair of new unused, still wrapped, tubed Heidenau K60 & K60 Scouts to fit GSA WC £ 120 plus postage at cost (estimated £20)

I used Scouts on my Tiger and thought they were great, I have the TKC70's on my current GSA-WC and have to say I think they are even better. They feel 'only my own humble opinion' that I have more grip that I ever did on the Scouts (though in Heidenau's defence, they themselves were peg screamingly good!). Wet weather they feel little more planted. High speed (where legal of course guv'nor) I do get a bit of a sieve with the BMW and TKC70's but seems to depend on wind direction and never particularly un-nerving.

Off road, Scout and TKC70's have done the same terrain with about the same grip. Great in the dry, wash out in the wet, but its a split use tyre so no surprise there. Overall, impressed with both, Conti's are easy to buy now and fit no issue, when I bought mine heeding were not doing the Scouts for the WC at that time.
