Rear bevel thingy ?? No never had one and i've seen other's say that it will cause more heat to build up in the bevel, but i've no idea.

Loving all the daft comments so far, but I’m still not convinced I definitely know wtf it actually is !

I’m thinking it fits through the air hole in the back wheel for some reason. If it is, then I wouldn’t fit one as I have a pragmatist anti-pinch pin that fits thru the rear wheel hole to allow me to fit a huge feck-off chain while my bike is locked up in the garage.

Yes you are correct, it fits through the A-hole on the final drive.

The A-hole on a GS sits about 2 feet above the final drive
