Anybody got a Multistrada V4 Rally?

If you have, do you use a tank bag?

If you do, which one - and does it have (or can you get) a map holder for it?
Possibly not much help but I used a Tank lock bag on my Multi - it was the Ducati supplied one so probably a Givi and yes it had a map pocket

I have a V4S Multistrada with a tank bag. It’s a Ducati, but I’m sure it’s actually a Givi. IIRC there were two sizes and mine is the small and has no map option.

I have a Kappa (Givi) tank bag that doesn't look too bad on the Rally - the tank ring on these makes the tank bag look like it sits quite high as they have moved the phone pocket from where it is on the V4S. This one doesn't have a map pocket as such, but you can slide a map/directions/tunnel ticket etc into the top bit under the strings.

I just tried one the other day. A v4 rally. Gorgeous bike with possibly better electronics than a gsa. Loved the screen and switches. Loathed the chain and a slight snatchiness in low revs. Needs more speed than a gsa to be at its “happy” point. Which I guess is what has always made gs’s so successful, as one can happily bimble along with the wife in the back with zero effort.
A bit top heavy too vs a gs, but anything would be. Possibly a better more dynamic bike for an experienced rider. Much faster than a gsa, equally comfy. Alu tank is orgasmic to look at.
Quality/perceived finish, materials and assembly is ace, nothing like Ducatis of old.
A bit of a conundrum as they are 20k used. My thinking was, for that money, I may as well go all in with 24k on a new 1300gsa. But that would counter my cardinal rule to never buy a fresh model of anything as testing is not finished before mk2 models.
So I ended up with a 14k 1250gsa and saved some. Maybe one day will do one. If/when they get to 10k, it would certainly be worth it.

Ducati v4rally was the closest I have ever been to stray off having at least one gs in the garage. Aside from a dct Crosstourer I had for a few months, but lets not talk about that

I saw one of his talks at the ABR. He has just broken the around the world record (one of them) doing it in just under 17 days on Ducati Multi Rallys. Apparently Ducati found the idea quite funny so they supplied new bikes at different stages i.e. after a flight across seas for example. Should be a full video coming out on it soon.
